We're assembling a team of engineers and designers who understand that the threat is real, the window is narrow, and the opportunity to build critical infrastructure from first principles doesn't come twice.
"Quantum computers will break the cryptography protecting every bank, every government, and every identity on the internet. We are building the hardware that makes the transition survivable — and we want people who see that as a mission, not just a job."
We're looking for people who share the vision and believe in the design.
— Derek Arsenault, Founder & Inventor, Pilon Laboratories Inc.We're not a FAANG satellite office. We're a small, focused team building something that has never existed before.
We designed PALLAS and XInfinitum from scratch — no legacy codebase, no inherited architecture. Every decision is yours to make and own for the long term.
Post-quantum cryptography will be mandatory infrastructure within a decade. The code you write and the hardware you design will protect identities, assets, and institutions at scale.
Early team members receive real equity and XFIN token allocations — not options with a 409A that resets every funding round. You share in what you help build.
We hire the best people regardless of location. Nova Scotia is our home base and legal entity, but the team operates asynchronously across time zones.
PALLAS hardware and XInfinitum blockchain are deeply intertwined. You'll work across disciplines — cryptography, embedded systems, distributed ledgers — not siloed in one stack.
Privacy is structural, not performative. We build with KYC-verified compliance and DAO governance baked in — not bolted on after the fact.
Every team member receives both equity in the company and an allocation of XFIN tokens. Exact package depends on role tier.

XInfinitum Network tokens · Delivered at Token Generation Event (mainnet launch)
These are equity and token-compensated roles at an early-stage startup. There is no base salary at this stage — you are joining as a crucial early hire and taking on early-stage risk. A competitive base salary will be introduced once the company reaches its first revenue milestone, with a full employee benefits package to follow. If this is a dealbreaker for you, this may not be the right moment. If you believe in what we're building, the upside reflects the risk.

Remote-friendly unless noted. These are crucial, early-stage roles — titles and scope will evolve as the team grows.
1.5% equity · 3,000,000 XFIN · These roles define the technical architecture of the company.
You will design and implement the core XInfinitum Layer 1 protocol — consensus mechanisms, validator proof system, DAO governance contracts, and the CRYSTALS-Dilithium5 transaction signing pipeline. This is the deepest technical role in the company. You'll work directly with the founder on protocol-level decisions and be the authority on blockchain architecture across the organization.
Own the cryptographic primitives that underpin both PALLAS hardware and the XInfinitum protocol. You'll implement and audit CRYSTALS-Dilithium5 (NIST FIPS 204), CRYSTALS-KYBER key encapsulation, the QRNG entropy pipeline, and zero-knowledge proof components used in the validator proof system. Your work is the foundation everything else rests on — correctness here is non-negotiable.
1.0% equity · 2,250,000 XFIN · Senior engineers who own a major product surface end-to-end.
Write the firmware that runs inside PALLAS. You'll work with the Infineon SLE97 secure element, IDQ QRNG module, biometric sensor interface, and USB-C stack to produce a hardened, auditable firmware image. This role requires deep knowledge of embedded C, hardware security boundaries, secure boot, and the FIDO2/CTAP protocols that PALLAS implements for system authentication.
Build the XInfinitum Wallet and PALLAS companion app — the primary interface most users will interact with. You'll own the full mobile stack: PALLAS USB-C and NFC pairing, CRYSTALS-Dilithium5 transaction signing flows, DAO governance voting UI, and the secure local key storage model. Cross-platform expertise (React Native or Flutter) preferred, with deep knowledge of iOS/Android secure enclave APIs.
Design and build the infrastructure layer between XInfinitum nodes, PALLAS devices, the wallet apps, and external integrators. You'll own the node RPC API, block explorer backend, DAO governance API, and pre-order/fulfilment integration layer. You are the connective tissue between the blockchain protocol and the applications built on top of it.
Apply machine learning and statistical analysis to network security, anomaly detection, and entropy quality validation in the QRNG pipeline. You'll work on real-time threat detection across the XInfinitum validator network, behavioural analysis for the DAO governance risk model, and potentially embedded inference for future PALLAS firmware capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of security and intelligence.
0.5% equity · 1,500,000 XFIN · Specialists who make everything ship reliably and look exceptional.
Own the infrastructure that runs the XInfinitum testnet and mainnet validator nodes, the PALLAS firmware build and signing pipeline, and the CI/CD workflows for all product repositories. You'll harden the deployment pipeline, manage secrets and HSM integration for code signing, and ensure the network's infrastructure meets the security bar the product demands.
Own the visual and interaction design across all Pilon Laboratories products: PALLAS companion app, XInfinitum Wallet, the block explorer, the DAO governance portal, and all marketing web properties. You'll establish and maintain the design system, translate complex cryptographic concepts into intuitive flows, and work closely with engineers to ship interfaces that are both technically correct and genuinely beautiful.
